By incorporating yoga therapy techniques, the aim is to increase our resilience and regulation of our nervous system. Through practices such as somatic movement, visualization, myofascial release, meditation and breathing exercises, we can change our mood, emotions, and thinking. This provides healthy coping mechanisms for managing chronic pain as well as the shifts in life that can come from a TBI or osteoporosis diagnosis. Yoga helps us cultivate sensitivity to our body, mind, and emotions, allowing us to settle into what we are feeling within the body. This is called interoception and can be helpful in down-regulating the nervous system, which is essential for healing and managing pain. Yoga therapy also helps build awareness through safe movement, building strength and improving proprioception, allowing for more easeful movement.

Our sessions together will improve overall body function, help prevent occurrence or reoccurrence of underlying causes of illness and assist you in moving toward improved health and wellbeing. In addition, it will empower you to change your relationship to and identification with your health condition, bringing more light, ease and grace to the situation.

In our sessions, we will address specific therapeutic needs specific to you using a customized protocol of modalities including strength training, fascia manipulation, energization exercises, mobility techniques, pranayama, asana, visualization and guided meditation.

As a certified NASM Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach as well as a certified Yoga Therapist, Brain Health Specialist and iRest facilitator, I will help you enhance life, restore balance, and increase vitality
